Short answer: usually yes - if it's Tyvek RFID, but no - if it's real paper.
Tyvek RFID wristbands (most common)
These are the standard "paper" RFID wristbands used in events, hotels, and waterparks.
✅ Waterproof - you can shower with it
✅ RFID chip is sealed inside, so water won't damage it
⚠️ Adhesive may weaken slightly after long soaking
⏱️ Best for 1–3 days use, even with water exposure
👉 Normal showers are totally fine.
👉 Long hot baths, saunas, or heavy rubbing can shorten lifespan.
🧻 Real paper RFID wristbands (rare)
❌ Not waterproof
❌ Will soften, tear, or fall off when wet
❌ RFID may stop working if structure breaks
🔍 Key risk to watch
Even with Tyvek:
The weakest point is the adhesive closure, not the material itself
Once removed or loosened, it can't be reused
Tyvek RFID wristband → YES, you can shower
Real paper wristband → NO, it won't survive
