The EPC (Electronic Product Code) stored inside the RFID chip typically encodes:
- Brand / company identifier
- Product category
- Size / color / style
- Unique serial number for each garment
So every piece of clothing has a unique ID.
The EPC stored inside the RFID tag is designed to identify each individual item, not just the product type.

If a customer brings back a product:
The EPC in the product must match the original sale record
Otherwise the system knows it's not the same item.
