Where is the RFID in library books?

Apr 24, 2023

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags in library books are typically located inside the back cover of the book, near the spine. The RFID tag consists of a small microchip and an antenna that are encased in a thin adhesive label, which is then attached to the book. The tag is usually hidden from plain view and can be detected by RFID readers that emit radio waves to communicate with the tag and retrieve information stored on the microchip. This information may include the book's title, author, and barcode number, among other things.
